Obama iPhone Wallpaper

Art, Politics 5 Comments

With the election getting closer and closer my support for Obama is starting to rage. I found these amazing designs at Changethethought and thankfully they are free to use for non-commercial purposes.

I’ve sized them down to 480×320, perfect resolution for the iPhone. I’m sure they could be used on other phones too. You can save these to your hard drive and sync them to your iPhone in iTunes or an even easier way is to visit this site in mobile Safari and save them directly to the phone.

Google celebrates the birth of Marc Chagall

If you know me well, you’ll know that Marc Chagall is one of my favorite painters of all time. I was floored when I first came face to face with “I and the Village” in person at the MoMA in New York City. Today, July 7th is Chagall’s birthday and to celebrate Google has put together this awesome logo including the works “Birthday”, “I and the Village” and “Lover’s with Half Moon”.

Thanks Google for appreciating such a creative mind.

Save it for later

My friend Justin Solitrin gives an interesting angle on a recent trip to the MoMA in NYC. Blaming it on consumerism is a very strong stance that I do somewhat agree with. I also see photographs as memories and sometimes its just special to keep track of all of your experiences - including seeing works of art.

This is an incredible example of ferrofluid sculpture - a true marvel of art and engineering.

Read more about the piece at Sachiko Kodama’s site.

This is a really strange and huge gallery of art; painting, photography and more. Definitely a cool time waster.
